    es importante conocer la vida media de lo que ha tomado
    para saber cuánto queda en su cuerpo en cualquier momento.
    Es bien sabido que el uso prolongado de cualquier esteroide puede dañar su salud, especialmente cuando ha estado usando
    muchos años de uso intensivo. En los casos más extremos,
    puede producirse insuficiencia renal, hepática o cardíaca y provocar la muerte.

    El hecho de que los esteroides sean perjudiciales y en qué medida depende principalmente del tipo de sustancias utilizadas y del grado de conocimiento que el usuario tenga sobre ellas.

    Desafortunadamente, muchas personas deciden usar esteroides sin tener un conocimiento elemental, comprando
    drogas de sus amigos en el gimnasio. En el caso de este último, la dosis de
    testosterona es considerablemente más baja y lo suficiente para mantener un nivel saludable
    de esta hormona androgénica masculina crítica durante su
    ciclo. Profundicemos en por qué la inclusión de testosterona
    en cada ciclo de esteroides es tan importante.
    En estas enfermedades, DECA-DURABOLIN® se utiliza como una terapia auxiliar de apoyo en tratamientos específicos
    y medidas dietarias incluyendo nutrición parenteral.
    En animales, la nandrolona decanoato posee un efecto estimulante de la eritropoyesis, probablemente mediante la estimulación directa
    de las células madre hematopoyéticas en la médula ósea y mediante el incremento de la liberación de eritropoyetina.

    Además, proporciona protección contra la depresión de la médula ósea
    causada por agentes citotóxicos. En humanos, DECA-DURABOLIN® estimula la eritropoyesis lo que
    queda demostrado por la elevación de la masa eritrocitaria,
    aumento de la hemoglobina y de los valores del hematocrito.
    Este efecto se utiliza terapéuticamente en el tratamiento de la anemia debido a una disminución de la producción de eritropoyetina, depresión de la médula inducida por quimioterapia o
    hipoplasia de las células madre en la médula ósea.

    El ketoconazol (KC) se desarrolló originalmente para el tratamiento de las infecciones micóticas sistémicas.
    Su utilización mostró poca toxicidad; sus efectos secundarios más frecuentes son náuseas y vómitos (50%),
    elevación de las enzimas hepáticas (5%), alopecia (8%), prurito y exantema (5%),
    disminución de la libido (13%) y ginecomastia (21%).
    A raíz del estudio que lo incluyó como causa de ginecomastia, se demostró que el KC,
    además de inhibir la síntesis del ergosterol de la membrana de los hongos, inhibía
    la biosíntesis esteroidea testicular, adrenal y ovárica tanto
    in vitro como in vivo.
    Deca durabolín es uno de estos esteroides del que casi todo el
    mundo ha oído hablar, quizás porque es uno de los más frecuentemente
    recomendados en ciclos para principiantes. No debe utilizarse DECA-DURABOLIN® durante el embarazo,
    debido al riesgo de virilización del feto.
    Se debe discontinuar el tratamiento con DECA-DURABOLIN® cuando se produce un embarazo (ver Sección four.3).

    Es un compuesto de larga duración; cuando se usa como decanotato, se ha observado que la liberación se mantiene por una a dos semanas, aunque, después de multiples inyecciones, puede acumularse y por lo tanto
    alargar el efecto. Es uno de los esteroides más populares hoy en día,
    después del Dianabol, pues promueve tamaño y fuerza en el músculo, con un bajo efecto andrógenico.
    Este fármaco es bastante favorable para su uso en stacks de corte/definición y pre-competencia.

    Una combinación de Deca-durabolin y Winstrol durante las semanas y meses previos a un espectáculo, por ejemplo, se señaló que mejoran en gran medida la mirada de la musculatura
    y definición.
    Según estos datos preliminares, el tratamiento con 6mg diarios de dexametasona estaría asociado a
    una mayor supervivencia, especialmente en pacientes críticos.
    Al margen de la diferencia en los parámetros primarios de evaluación (endpoints),
    una serie de factores pueden explicar esta discrepancia.
    Por último, los pacientes que más se beneficiaron del tratamiento en el ensayo RECOVERY
    fueron los pacientes críticos intubados, siendo más modesto el beneficio
    en pacientes con oxigenoterapia, e inexistente en pacientes leves.

    El aumento significativo de las muertes con los esteroides indica que los esteroides no se deberían utilizar de forma ordinary en los pacientes con traumatismo craneoencefálico.
    Por otro lado, se han descrito receptores de
    esteroides que no dependen de la actividad transcripcional, y que generan efectos como la
    activación de adenilato ciclasas, de tirosinkinasas, producción de segundos mensajeros, incremento del calcio intracelular, entre otros.
    Estos receptores al no requerir de transcripción nuclear y tener localización transmembrana generan respuestas precoces
    y se los ha denominado efectos no genómicos4. En la figura
    2 se explica el mecanismo con el que se producen los efectos no genómicos de las hormonas esteroideas.
    En 1949 en la Universidad de Chicago, FC Kuch y Kendall demostraron que la sustancia E o cortisona era un esteroide y, con la ayuda de los laboratorios Merck y Upjohn, crearon la
    presentación parenteral y, posteriormente, la oral de cortisona.

    Vale la pena mencionar que los esteroides cambian permanentemente la fisiología de
    sus músculos al aumentar el número de núcleos celulares y células satélites.
    Un mayor número de núcleos celulares significa una
    gestión más eficaz de su volumen y, en consecuencia, una expansión más rápida.
    Tienen un efecto de “memoria muscular”, lo que significa que incluso unos pocos años después de dejar
    de usar el AAS, construirá sus músculos más rápido que si nunca hubiera
    usado el dopaje.
    Para la mayoría de los usuarios, Deca sólo requiere una inyección a la
    semana gracias a su efecto de muy larga duración. Los
    niveles se elevan 1-2 días después de la inyección y luego continúa liberando lentamente hasta tres semanas.
    Deca no es un esteroide de acción rápida, pero cuando se activa, las ganancias de masa son de alta
    calidad con el tiempo. Tomar Clomid durante tres semanas a
    solo 50 mg al día ayudará enormemente en la recuperación, retendrá
    sus ganancias y hará que la producción pure de testosterona vuelva a funcionar.
    Como mínimo, para experimentar las propiedades
    anabólicas de Deca-Durabolin, se recomienda una dosis de 200 mg a 300 mg por semana, sin embargo, four hundred mg se considera la dosis más efectiva para obtener los mejores resultados mientras se
    mantienen los efectos secundarios bajo control. Deca-Durabolín es
    popular por su utilización en el culturismo para promover grandes ganancias en fuerza y
    masa muscular, para lo cual es necesario administrar dosis mucho más elevadas que las que se utilizan en los tratamientos hospitalarios.
    • El abuso de los esteroides anabólicos para aumentar la capacidad en los deportes trae
    consigo graves riesgos para la salud por lo que
    debe ser desalentado.
    Tanto en el artículo de Brennan et al.40, como en el de Graham et al.25, se
    habla sobre los efectos adversos tras la utilización de Hormona de Crecimiento
    (HG), dicha sustancia no se encuentra dentro de la lista de agentes
    anabolizantes establecida por la AMA, por lo que no se pueden tener en cuenta en esta revisión. En el artículo de Fanton et al.forty
    one, utilizan conejos como sujeto a estudio, por
    lo que al tratarse de uno de nuestros criterios de exclusión -uso de animales- queda descartado.
    En el de Bond et al.forty two, una vez conseguido el artículo completo, se
    observa la aparición de menores de edad en dicho estudio, siendo uno de los criterios de exclusión. El uso de esteroides anabólicos en competición se remonta a la década de 19507,
    mientras que su uso por parte de atletas no profesionales y culturistas emergió especialmente a principios de
    los ninety, del siglo XX, en Europa del Este y los Estados Unidos8.

    Las dosis bajas activan mecanismos no genómicos con respuestas inmunomoduladoras y neuroendocrinas que
    restauran la sensibilidad adrenérgica y mejoran el contexto hemodinámico en pacientes con shock séptico y
    han abierto un camino hacia una indicación terapéutica razonable y sustentada.
    Como se ha observado en esta revisión se observó asociación entre la toma de agentes anabólicos y el aumento de la agresividad, la excitación, la
    irritabilidad…ya que la toma de estas sustancias se
    asocia con cambios de humor y un aumento de los episodios psicóticos33.
    En el estudio de Porcerelli y Sandler23, indicaban que los usuarios
    de EAA tendrían puntuaciones más altas para el narcisismo
    y puntuaciones más bajas para la empatía en comparación con el grupo que no consumía EAA.
